Breath before posture, patience before strength. Small classes, careful correction, and a method that has not changed in a hundred years — because it works.
At the door of every Shiva temple sits Nandi — the bull who waited so completely that waiting became worship. Yoga's first student. His method is our method: arrive, sit, let the breath settle. Strength comes later.
Cool stone floor and morning light from the east. No mirrors, no music, no hurry.
Every class is capped so every student is seen, corrected, and never rushed.
Pranayama opens every morning. Posture is built on a settled breath, not before it.
Founder, Nandi Yoga & Counselling
Nandini has taught yoga across Madurai for more than a decade — group and one-on-one classes at the Gandhi Museum, practical sessions for its Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga programme, visiting faculty at city colleges, and wellness programmes for India Post, Employees' State Insurance staff, and senior Income Tax officials.
“I don't teach postures. I teach people to stop fighting their own breath.”
In 2026 she founded Nandi Yoga & Counselling in Avaniyapuram. Her classes are quiet, precise, and unhurried — beginners are corrected gently and by hand; the experienced are asked to slow down.
